Information we do not collect

PokeConnections does not create accounts and does not ask for your name, email address, payment information, or other contact details.

Information stored on your device

Game progress is saved in your browser so you can leave and return to a puzzle:

• Guesses, win/loss state, and related puzzle progress in local storage
• Whether you have continued past an archive-puzzle ad gate in session storage

This information stays on your device. Clearing site data in your browser deletes it. We do not receive a copy of these saves.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as page views. Vercel describes this product as privacy-friendly and cookie-less. Details are in the Vercel Analytics privacy documentation and the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Archive puzzles may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Hosting and puzzle data

The website is hosted on Vercel. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to operate and secure the site. Daily puzzles are stored in Amazon S3. That storage is used for puzzle content, not player profiles.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not offer accounts or ask anyone for personal details. Advertising on archive pages is provided by Google; Google's policies and your device/browser settings control how those ads work.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you have been notified of the revised policy.
